Day 136 of the challenge! The Stanford Prison Experiment will make you ashamed of being a human. I've watched some pretty gnarly and hard to watch horror movies over the course of this challenge, but The Stanford Prison Experiment (which is a period drama based on the actual 1971 Dr. Zimbardo study and not a horror movie) is easily one of the hardest movies I've watched, period!
This movie makes you question the way you think of yourself. How strong is your sense of identity and how much (or little) will it take to break it? What kind of person do you have the potential of being given the right context and scenario? The Stanford Prison Experiment asks all this of you, but gives no answers. The strong script and concepts at play here are supported by equally as strong performances from the entire cast, elevating the film into a must watch!
