Day 135 of the challenge! With all the talk of a remake makes the rounds lately (and an official release date for later this year), I thought it was time I finally get around to Suspiria! I went only knowing about it's reputation and nothing else, and was pretty surprised! It was nothing like what I expected. Though wonky in many aspects, I adored the haunting stylistic choices used throughout the film. Suspiria will definitely stay with me for it's visuals and amazing score rather than it's scares. I also don't mean to say Suspiria isn't scary. There are a few scenes that legitimately caught me off guard with their viciousness and the amount of detailed gore (which is fairly tame by today's standards, but much more effective because of it). Can't wait for the remake!
