Day 127 of the challenge! Vampire movies tend to be hit or miss with me, so when I sat down to watch Family Blood and realized it was a vampire movie a few minutes in, I was hesitant. Fortunately, Family Blood ended up being a very clever modern day vampire flick, albeit a very flawed one. I enjoyed the gothic tone and atmosphere the movie managed to create while adding a few twists to well established vampire mythology, and juxtaposing drug addiction with vampirism was an especially clever aspect to the film. I just wish the script was a little tighter and polished. With a little more work and thought to it's characters, Family Blood could have been great and not just acceptable. Still recommend it!
