Don't Kill It (2017) - 365 Movie Challenge Day 123

Day 123 of the challenge! Don't Kill It is a mixed bag for me. On one hand, I love how unapologetic it is with it's own ridiculousness, but on the other there are times where I was close to just turning it off from the sheer disinterest I had. There are differently some genre flipping ideas at play here, they just never seem to go anywhere. Any moment you feel the movie is about to really hit it into high gear, it backfires and just plops back down before becoming interesting. A lot of character traits and moments go unexplored (a likable character that is doubting his own usefulness and self worth just randomly disappears half way through for example). It occasionally makes you giggle, and Dolph Lundgren is actually very likable in the lead. I just with this movie had a cleverer script to go along with the gory insanity. At best, you'll kill about an hour and 20 minutes. At worst, you'll waste an hour and 20 minutes. Slight difference between the two!
