Day 27 of the challenge! Got around to Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets...ooof.... and people keep complaining about The Last Jedi?
Way too many issues and flawed logic to really let me get into Valerian. I mean REALLY flawed logic. One of my favorites is how both characters wear what pretty much sums up to Iron Man armor that allows them to crash through reinforced concrete and metal walls, but they're suddenly helpless when captured and put into a cage made of wooden sticks And don't get me started on the "characters". Plus for a movie as big as this one, there's a whole lot of telling and no showing with almost everything...
I wish I could praise the effects and design of the film at least, but even that was too much or uninspired for me. Just can't get behind anything in this one.
