Day 28 of the challenge! Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is a dark comedy masterpiece! An amazing cast with amazing performances make the movie an incredibly raw, emotional, and human story. Plus, it's kind of hilarious.
I can't say enough good things about Three Billboards. I mean, there's a reason it's getting nominated and winning everything. It's an incredibly intense film that goes from making you laugh to crying in a matter of seconds (and vice versa). Frances McDormand especially personifies that with her sick language and nuanced performance. Seriously, just give her the Oscar already.
My favorite thing of the film is how it plays with your expectations from an emotional perspective. Characters you hated at the start you end up loving as you get to know them for example. Nothing is as simple as it's presented, and if you're really paying attention to some of the smaller details, you'll have plenty to discuss about after you're done watching.
