Day 8 of the challenge! Found Turbo Kid while browsing Netflix the other night. An over the top 80s throwback that makes no sense!? How could I not add it to the challenge? Glad I did because it's incredibly fun and full of SUPER gory retro apocalypse goodness!
So I recommend this fun flick if you're all about 80s dystopia movies. Think Mad Max with a little mix of The Running Man and Chopping Mall. Maybe some Westworld and Escape from New York as cherries on top? Terminator for sure. All set in the distant future of 1997....You get the idea! Plenty to love if you're a fan of the Fallout video game series too.
So Downsizing was pretty heavy and I followed it up with 2 incredibly light movies now. And as fun as those 2 films were are, I think I'm ready for something with a little more to chew on. Let's see what tomorrow brings!
