Day 201 of the challenge! Teen Titans: The Judas Contract was great! Huge improvement over the last Teen Titans title.
Liked:
- The voice acting. Miguel Ferrer and Christina Ricci knock it out of the park as Deathstroke and Terra.
- I really enjoyed the story in this one. Terra is given plenty to do character wise, and her story ties in beautifully with the Brother Blood cult story. Much better script.
- Damian was out of the picture for most of it. Don't like Damian...
- Good balance between the light hearted fun moments and the dark and heavy ones.
- Cool action/fights.
Didn't like:
- Some of the other Titans were given their own issues to overcome, but weren't given the time to really develop them before they got resolved.
- Beast Boy and Terra's relationship should have been given more time to develop as well. It felt rushed. Longer running time might have helped that. The resolution to Beast Boy's story would have felt more impactful to me I think.
- Brother Blood was more on the generic side as far as villains go. The Hive cult itself was interesting. Would have loved to have seen how the general public engages with that cult in the outside world.
