Day 81 of the challenge! Raw is a coming of age story full of thematic layers that range from sexuality, peer pressure, family legacy, relationships...and cannibalism. While I enjoyed Raw for being creative and original in the way it engages with these (and many more) themes, I'm glad I missed it during it's theatrical run. While I'm usually alright with body horror and gore, Raw's provocative and sensual portrayal of cannibalism was too much even for me at certain points in the film. Gagging and potentially throwing up in a crowded theater doesn't sound too fun. There's so much to love about Raw, but I know it's not for everyone. Proceed with extreme caution.
