Day 161 of the challenge! Rapture-Palooza isn't anywhere as satirical as it wants to be, but it's worth a few good laughs. People going on with the humdrum of life after the literal biblical Apocalypse is a pretty silly premise full of comedy gold potential, but Rapture-Palooza casts aside said potential in favor of over the top raunchy and crass humor. I'm not saying raunchy humor is a bad thing (I did get a few laughs out of it), but when you set your movie is a world with blood thunderstorms, zombies, and so many other plights taken right out of the Book of Revelations, maybe try and make comedy with that. Why make them all background gags in favor of the usual T&A and dick jokes found in so many other comedies? Seems like a missed opportunity to me anyway. Again, Rapture-Palooza does have it's moments and is worth a watch the next time you're bored and in the mood for something light and raunchy.
