Day 53 of the challenge! In a World... was another one of those films that seemed destined to be stuck on my "to watch" list. Not anymore! Happy to report that it was as awesome and inspiring as I hoped it would be since I first saw the trailer all those years ago. Plus, it's hilarious! Watch it!
Shot and acted like a drama, but with the story and script of an edgy comedy, In a World... especially resonated with me because of the tiny (and satirical) look it gave us into the cut throat world of voice overs in Hollywood. This is an industry I want to be a part of, so seeing a film give us such a unique and heartfelt look at this made the movie for me. The film also manages to make this story work whilst balancing a few other side plots that explore things like family/relationship dynamics and women empowerment to mention a few. I really loved In a World... and can't recommend it enough!
