Day 50 of the challenge! Picked Girlfriend's Day, an oddball, neo-noir film about the cut throat world of card writing. This is a movie where card writers are well known celebrities (they even have their own special bars), that overshadow the biggest movie stars. Seriously, card writers in this world help shape the direction of the future. It took me a while to pick up on the joke, but once I did, Girlfriend's Day was pretty hilarious. Easily not everyone's cup of tea.
I was immediately drawn to this one when I saw Bob Odenkirk was involved. Love that guy. His work (especially his humor) tends to have a certain quirk to it, and Girlfriend's Day is dripping with it. I love it, but it's a niche taste no doubt about it.
