Day 263 of the challenge! Fletch is the 2nd best thing with Chevy Chase I’ve ever seen. Community is the first of course!
I have a very low tolerance for Chevy Chase. Like, really REALLY low. That being said, his brand of “smart-ass” humor was used well for the most part in Fletch. Some of the jokes and gags were more annoying than funny in my opinion, but that’s probably more an issue with my personal feelings for Chase than an actual issue with the film.
Story wise, things move at a nice and brisk pace in what I’m guessing is a comedy/mystery film? If a joke didn’t land with you, one that will at least make you blow air out your nose won’t be too far off. Plus, you’re bound to get a few laughs from some of the disguises Chase sports in this.
