Day 114 of the challenge! Darling is as beautiful as it is disturbing and haunting. Loved it! No joke, I'm going to have to sit down and watch this one again to fully take in and process the film. I can't really describe how weird I felt watching this one. I was taken in by the great black and white cinematography, surprised at the amazing performance by Lauren Ashley Carter, and freaked out by the demonically fueled revenge thriller the film quickly evolves into once we get past the opening minutes. The whole thing has a surreal, fever dream (nightmare) quality to it. Highly recommend it, but proceed with caution. This isn't for mainstream audiences.
