Day 3 was SICK to say the least, and I loved it! Sorry Paranormal Activity, but I have a new favorite horror found footage film, and it's Creep 2.
There's no doubt Creep 2 tops the weirdness factor from the original Creep. The film has an original and fun plot that completely avoids being a rehash of the first. It sort of plays out like a weird and twisted love story between two weirdos, so I'm going to go ahead and make it my new favorite romance movie too.
Like the original, Creep, Creep 2 get a whole lot of extra points with me for all the freelance videographer growing pains the film realistically portrays. Few people know the kind of rage you can get when a random plane or bird won't let you film outside! All that being said, I loved this flick! My anxiety was going crazy the whole time I was watching. On the flip side, there's no way Creep 2 is for everybody, so watch at your own risk you wierdo!
Quick Observations:
- Gotta say that I was over the moon when I saw Creep 2 was on Netflix. I was aware the movie was about, but it wasn't available last time I checked. So pleasant surprise to find it, especially after seeing Creep on day 1!
- I found out it was on Netflix after having watched Super, and I was able to wait until today to watch it so it qualified for the challenge. Only a few days in and my viewing habits are already starting to change a bit.
- I usually get annoyed at found footage films for having perfect picture and sound, despite the characters usually using low end equipment (I know it's just a movie, but I can't turn it off). Both Creeps embrace the realistic quality you'd get, so I totally appreciate that!
Day 3 out, 362 to go....
