Day 157 of the challenge! Big Eyes is easily the tamest Tim Burton movie I've ever seen. Despite some weirdness in tone (at times it feels like a usual Burton fairy tale, at others like a traditional biopic), the film is a great look into the chaotic history of Margaret Keane and her "big eye" paintings. The film is wonderfully and appropriately colorful, with plenty of thematic elements to chew on afterwards. Big Eyes's biggest strength though is easily Amy Adams. I'm always amazed at her acting abilities. Christoph Waltz does his usual awesome thing, so there's that too.
