Day 101 of the challenge! The Similars is like a hodgepodge of some of more famous episodes of the Twilight Zone. I know I bring that show up often, but it is especially apparent here. I was picking out very specific moments from specific episodes of the show. The Similars even features a very "Serling-esque" voice over at the beginning and end. Plus, the majority of the movie is desaturated to the point of looking black and white. Yep, no doubt in my mind that director and writer Isaac Ezban is a huge fan of the show. All that being said, I'm pretty sure you can guess that I enjoyed the film. The mystery does a great job at fueling all the horror and tension and ends on a surprising (if weird) twist that I don't think most will see coming. Recommend it if weird is your thing.
