Day 77 of the challenge! Remember how The Descent was a great creature feature about betrayal and loss? How it had some incredibly frightening set pieces that would make anyone with claustrophobia scream? The beautiful and clever way the lighting in the caves made us feel the character were all in complete darkness, yet still allowed us to see what what going on? The Descent Part 2 has none of that.
The Descent Part 2 is one of those rare films that I can't see any value in. From the opening moments to the final "F.U" moment for anyone that managed to get to the end, this film seems like it was made to undo everything amazing about the first. Watching the actors pretend they can't see anything in an obviously well lit cave is bad enough, but the reasoning and logic used to justify the entire plot is insane. I can suspende by disbeleif quite a bit, but this one was way too much. I can go on and on, but I'll just end it with a loud MOVE ALONG!
Day 77 out, 288 to go....
