Day 227 of the challenge! Putting an end to my Stephen King run (for now) with Salem's Lot, which has plenty of REALLY freaky moments to love! Could use an update though.

I'm a sucker for old school blood suckers! Horrifying creatures of the night, hunting for their next meal! Salem's Lot gives us plenty of that.
For a TV movie made in the late 70s, the effects stand the test of time pretty well. Those scares at the windows in the first half of the film are simple, but INCREDIBLY chilling.
I appreciate the time taken to develop the story. A bit over long if anything. It was a two part mini series, so I kept that in mind.

Being a TV movie, you know plenty was held back as far as gore and certain scares go. An update could fix all that.
With so much screen time at their disposal, I was hoping for much better character work. Straker was creepy and had an aura of mystery about him for example, but nothing neat was ever done with him. Wasted opportunity.
