Day 291 of the challenge! Rob Zombies’ Halloween II…I still can’t even…
Halloween II basically doubles down on everything I hated from the first. It’s uglier, meaner, cheaper…you get it. What’s even more infuriating is that there are hints of a really unique horror movie (maybe not a Myers Halloween movie) scattered throughout Zombies’ Halloween II, but it’s so unfocused, random, and dripping with self importance, I can’t really paste together what it is. I mean, if you have to explain what the symbolism in your film means with a title card at the beginning, then maybe the script isn’t there. But then again, that didn’t stop him last time.
