Day 12 of the challenge! Another biopic. Darkest Hour is fantastic! Loved it! If Gary Oldman doesn't win an Oscar for this, there is no justice in this world.
So this was the 2nd Dunkirk movie this year. While I did enjoy Chris Nolan's Dunkirk (beautifully shot and the sound was amazing), I found the story...lacking. More of an experience than story? Don't know, but I'm not talking about that one. Darkest Hour is an incredibly compelling film about newly appointed Prime Minster Winston Churchill's struggles during the early days of World War II. I'll leave it at that. It's moving, funny, and a great piece of film. Totally recommend it for everyone!
