Day 143 of the challenge! Batman Ninja makes no damn sense, and it's amazing! So basically it feels like your typical anime. I don't even know how to describe this one. It's Batman, but with every anime convention you can think of. Over the top voice acting and character movements? Check. Beautiful (and various) art styles? Check. Choppy and melodramatic dialogue? Check! Giant "voltron" type robots? Err check. Messy and convoluted plot that relies on all of the above to make it work? You bet check! The story and character writing in this are all over the place, but it's just too damn crazy and fun not to love (at least if you're into anime or Japanese culture). Like mentioned, the art direction in Batman Ninja stunning! The art alone makes it worth that watch. It took me a long time to get through it just because I kept pausing to take in all the details. So if you're looking for a cohesive plot with logical characters, Batman Ninja is not for you. If you're into the anime scene in general, I think you'll get a kick out of Batman Ninja.
