Since my days as a digital media student, I have always had a fixation with audio. While most of my classmates worried more about other aspects of video production (proper lighting, “good” camera angles, pixel resolution, etc.), I tended to worry more about capturing quality audio. That fixation only grew as my career progressed, and in recent years my focus (passion?) has slowly shifted from video to audio production. After all, sound is half the story, and bad sound can ruin even the most beautiful of imagery.
There’s just something inherently magical about mixing and layering different audio sources to create something new and original. While most of the videos on this portfolio feature audio mixed or recorded by me, the samples featured on this page are meant to highlight my sound design work specifically. Can’t wait to add more!
Fun Fact: If I had to pick the moment I realized sound design was magic, I think I’d pick the day I learned Godzilla’s roar was created using a resin glove and a bass.
